This time, in order to develop the promotional aspect of this project, I created a range of social media pages for my artist. Since my artist is based in the K-pop industry, it is extremely important to utilize the cross-media convergence to build a strong social media presence.

Youtube

To design the layouts, I chose Canva because it is a more user-friendly adn familiar platfrom, which allows me to efficiently create a unified body of content.

I began with Youtube channel first, taking inspiration from numerous established K-pop groups, particularly SEVENTEEN, my biggest reference. I structured the page by using black line with low opacity to seperate the layout. At the top, it will be information about the channel which includes, the channel name, biography and the number of followers and videos. Besides these information, I also created an interactive link to other WZ’s social media accounts. In the middle part, “STUPID IDIOT” music video is pinned to maximise visibility and increase view count. Below that, I included additional content such as photoshoot behind-the-scenes, music video behind-the-scenes, and dance practice videos. The purpose of creating Youtube is to publish long-form content in high quality, which is essential for maintaining a professional and polished image.

Instagram

For Instagram, I focused on its role as a platform for interaction, visual promotion and album marketing. It is used to showcase photoshoots, magazine-style content, and album announcements.

I implemented elements from my digipak design to support the idea of album promotional. the “OUT NOW” post, I applied a blue gradient background and used the “Archivo Black” font since it has a bold and eye-catching style, which helps me to highlight the annoucement.

In addition, I produced a magazine-style post with the support of Photoshop, and the design is inspired by ELLE, a well-know magazine in Korea. Firstly, I place my original image and applying a black and white preset, which is already offered by the Photoshop, to achieve a more editorial aesthetic.

After applying the black-and-white filter, the color was not good enough, so I continued adjusting brightness/contrast, vibration, and saturation to find the most suitable color for my image. Then, to create depth, I layered text behind an image of my artist. I chose the “CESSO” fonts because they convey the ELLE style, which they use when designing the magazine. I placed the ELLE title at the top and used a soft brush to erase the unwanted parts, creating a more professional and dynamic feel. Later, the artist’s name is placed vertically along the right side in red to highlight WZ’s identity and also increase visibility. Finally, I added a title, “Rise of the Rebel,” to reflect the album's theme and to establish a clear artistic narrative.
